Cro cop has been so much of a dissapointment that the UFC has released him from his contract, I would never have thought they would release him. when they signed him I thought he would totally dominate the ufc hw div. I couldnt have been more wrong lol.

I have to disagree with you guys on the ground fighting, I'd rather see a fight like the diego sanches and nick diaz fight, there was little stand up most of it was on the ground, the best fight i can remember watching. I grew up free style wrestling so I can appriciate whats going on when they are on the ground, that fight had so many conters, the trasitions were incredible. I'm sure I'm in the minority when it comes to prefering a grappling match to a slug fest but oh well, different strokes right.

Absolutely! Even though I find it boring to watch them roll around on the ground, I can totally respect the amount of skill and technique involved in those moves. I'd be submitted in seconds, lol, I'd have no chance against a wrestler! I guess that's kind of what makes this sport cool though, is you get a little bit of everything, it's not just one style of fighting. A legal fight club

After watching last weekends fights I'm going to start keeping up with it a lot more. My wife and I were yelling at the TV, "Hit that motherfucker!!!!", "DAMN!!" It was the most entertainment we've had in a while

I agree with you guys 100%, especially about the boring to watch ground games.

I FULLY understand how much skill, strength and stamina it takes for a good ground/submission game, but it can be boring to watch.

Perfect example...Diego Sanchez. I think he was 18-0...and got real, REAL cocky. Kos handed it to him, fought smart (unfortunately, KOS is just as much or more so cocky...) And Sanchez lost his next fight, too...

thats why the refs stand them up a lot. people pay to see a fight, not a lay and pray match. all the mma organizations are business out there to make money, so they have to give the people what they want. its unfortunate though because a lot of times the guys on the ground are doing damage. but as soon as the crowd gets shitty, thats when the standups start. its kinda a weak situation.

as for kos/diego.. both of these guys are shit in my book. i couldnt care any less if i never saw either fight ever again. their fight was the weakest thing ive ever seen. they both talked so much shit leading up to that fight and then when it came down to it, they both choked. there was more physical contact during the weighins than during the actual fight.

yea cro cop is definitely a big disappointment in his UFC careeer so far...it just doesnt seem hes been himself though... look at that fight in pride where he worked wanderlei silva over bigtime, just totally dominated him and beat the hell out of him, thats not the same cro cop that got head kicked by gonzaga, he was nervous and almost looked scared, he hardley did shit

and im with everyone, i hate tim silvia , hes such a queer, if he wasnt a big goon by nature, hed be a bum

cro cop was a disappointment, but hes also has problems. he underwent surgery to fix a nasal cavity problem that was keeping him from being able to breathe out of one side of his nose. he recovered 100% and is better now. that surgery was after the kongo fight. the release from ufc was a mutual agreement between ufc and cro cop. the ufc is hoping he will go somewhere else, get a couple of wins and eventually end up back in the ufc.. cro cop is gonna come back better than he was.

yes, tim sylvia sucks balls. and hes boring.

yea everyone thought he would dominate. he had issues adjusting to the ring, his nose and he likes fighting in japan better. he will be fighting in Dreams, a japanese organization. he will fight some guys, and hopefully win a few, then maybe head back to the UFC. who knows.

That Sanchez/Kos fight was the most boring thing I ever saw... The whole fight I was waiting for Diego to explode....he just sat there like a deer in head lights.

BOOORING...

If they're moving on the ground, throwing shot...dropping elbows...hey, no prob. But when they switch from partial man hug to full man hug...boooring....

I still like Swick... Bunches of punches....:)

Loco,

You definatly know your shit brotha... I need to call you up and discuss some MMA with you.. Its been a while..

Actually its pretty cool to see so much MMA talk on here.. The one MMA forum Iam on has some guys that need to be punked so I don't post much there..

Well.. First of all if Kimbo fought Sylvia I would be rooting for Kimbo.. Sylvia is such a waste of space it kills me.. I wasn't aware that Kimbo was training with Bas.. That will definatly help him along.. However I also believe that Kimbo is getting into a ever more difficult sport with some badass guys.. He has got some serious catchin up to do.. I agree with Loco that Kimbo will more than likely go quite a ways in a org like Elite.. However I think he would have pretty tuff time in the UFC even though the UFC HW division seems to be getting weaker by the day.. I think the biggest thing is, its to early to say how well he will really do.. To compare him and set him up with Tank Abbot I think is kinda funny.. Tank is 42 years old and hasn't done overly well in a while.. Though he is a mentionable win I don't think his victory really tells us much.. To be honest I would like to see him in the UFC to see how well he can really do against guys that will throw some serious shit at him..

As for fights on the ground.. I like a good ground war.. IF THATS WHAT IT IS! I like guys like Nate Diaz or one of my newer favs Joe Lauzon.. Some of you guys(BB Banshee) may like the ground game once you get more familiar with it.. When I started following UFC/MMA more closely 5 years or so ago I didn't like the ground much at all.. But when you watch it long enough and figure out whats going on it transforms from two dudes layin on each other to a cool ass chess game.. There are some SERIOUSLY tallented guys right now in MMA that do some crazy shit on the ground.. Suffer through it for a while guys and you will see what Iam talking about..

The shit on CC, yeah what a disapointment.. I can't really add a whole lot as Loco pretty well covered allot of it.. Don't remember if he mentioned it but CC is also welcomed back to the UFC by Dana White IF CC can win his next 3(I believe) fights.. CC had a deviated septum, that Loco was talking about.. I hope he does well, as like most of you, I really like the guy..

On Diego and Kos.. This is the type of fight I cant hardly stomach.. Two guys scared to trade and lose so they dance their asses off like they are on soul train.. Anytime these to fucko's fight ill be rooting for them to lose.. I loved it when Jon Fitch beat Diego.. Thats actually probably my favorite fighter in that division and I hope he does well..

So On a side topic.. You guys see the card for the next UFC Ultimate fight night? Card is SUPER good being on paper.. Also, and more importantly.. Its going down about 45 minutes away from my house.. I gotta get my tickets soon!

Tell you what, I'm liking Forrest Griffen more and more, he is very well spoken and humble.

I like watching Roger Huerta fight too..

I've only been into MMA, mostly the last 4 years or so....

Tell you a lightweight that is impressive to me, he fights in the Extreme Cage fighting, he's called the California Kid... Funky name, but I watched him fight on HD Net..(HD Channel on my ATT UVerse)...he is brilliant and a helluva fighter.

Urijah Faber is his name, if you can watch him fight in one of the less known MMA orgs., watch him. Impressive!!

I know...Griffin has that deep...almost retarded tone to his voice, but he's very humble and pretty well spoken.

Tyler, check Faber out...he's an absolute animal....

Kimbo and lesnar would be a good fight, Kimbo and Gannon would be a slaughter!!! You have to take into consideration, When they fought before Kimbo was not conditioned at all!! He was a straight up street brawler going head to head with a UFC guy. You name 2 guys off the street that could pull that off and last more than 2 minutes???? Dont worry I'll wait......

Kimbo was trading blows with gannon and getting in his ass at some points, now he is trained and condition to go the distance and he is gappling now!! Gannon won't make it past the second round!!!!

lol that was funny as hell!!!!

The only fight I wanna see that will prolly happen is Kimbo vs Brock!!!Or a rematch of kimbo vs Sean gannon
