KaosBanshee44
What do i need here i haven't messed with tie rod ends that much so don't know where to turn. I've talked to a few people on here but still come to a dead end. I have no travel with my arms right now cause the tie ends get in a bind since there is no room for them to play. Question is do i need a bolt or spacer or just a totally new tie rod end cause as of now i have no play with these like i need to. The guy who had these last ran struts so i take it he wasn't worried about travel. Look close at the end you can't even see the ball...lol So hopefully you know what i'm talking about. There is a homemade spacer for the ends where they connect to the stem but still sorta gets in a bind and would like to fix that as well. FireHead
Assuming those tie rods have an OEM Banshee thread in them, then you can just buy new OEM style rod ends from RMATV. If it is some other thread size then I don't have any ideas without knowing what the thread size is. :geek:
KaosBanshee44
See i don't know since i bought them second hand. I was also thinking of just getting brand new tie rods with ends but i NEED them chrome. If i was to do that does RMATV carry the chrome settup like that? Whoa, I've never seen a heim used as a tie rod end. Personally I don't see the advatage, I'd probably switch back to ball joints. RMATV doesnt carry chrome as far as I know. If you have a stock banshee end layin around, thread it up and see if it will fit. One end of the rod should be a left hand thread, and one end a right hand thread. If they don't you could always get new +2+1 tie rods, they are pretty inexpensive, and then put the stock style ends on them.

shanYE west
Ok.. yeah Dan only used struts on them and only used them for 1 day at the track so he didn't have much time to work with them. But like firehead said. I'd find a stock tierod end and see if it threads match. If it fits, buy a set from RMATV.

I got some stock ends laying in my stash i'll try em' out and see what happens. I figured that's what the problem was since he used struts. Thanks again

Then have him ship them to me, i will polish them and that will be that. Then you will have a nice set, that will be ready for stock tie rod ends from RMATV. jbooker82
Looks like you just need the conical washer to go inbetween the Knuckle and the heim joint. That would allow it to move.
