Jetting on 34mm PJ's

Fiest of let me say hi, I just joined the forum today but ive been a lurker for the past month or so.

Just bought some 34mm PJ carbs. The problem im having at the moment is when giving it throttle from 1/4 to WOT it seriously bogs the engine and wants to shutoff. If i move the the throttle slowy from idle to wot it has no problem at all.

Have CEL needle's in middle position, 50 pilot jets and 150 mains. I did do a plug chop indicated a choclate brown color on both cylinders. Mods to the engine / altitude should be in signature.

The bike will pull all the way through 6th np no hesitation when im WOT

Any inputs on this would be greatly appreciated

CT racing MX Pipes

Reed spacers

34mm PJ carbs

Barnett Clutch

Twist Throttle

122 psi both cylinders at 2800'

first off if your isnt porting your really have some big carbs on that bike.

sec you will need a carb sync tool, get one from jeff or somewhere else.

3rd do a search on my name wesw. ive did a 1000 jetting pj posts. im not going to repost it all. but there are plenty of how to adjust them.

your jetting sounds close but you might have to adjust it to your bike. who knows hard to say you need 4/5 clip on the needle with out being there or whateve.

again search my name in the jetting threads if you cant figure it out pm me. ive walked more guy thru pj jetting and setup then i can count.

later.

Porting is gonna be done within the next few months one of the reason i went for bigger carbs I had 30mm PE carbs on there before but kept on leaking gas from the over flows rebuilt them adjusted them still leaked so i decided to get new carbs. As far as the picture on the spark plug does it look ok to rich / lean?

will mess with the needles today ill let u know what i see when i adjust them. thanks for the info
