TexasBansheeMan
I had my jetting spot on, now I'm lean as hell. Went to do a plug chop, NO Need the Friggin Heat Bridge Is white on the Sides. I did notice my air screws were way out, can I lean it out that much just from air screws? Should i split my carbs and change my jets? Just wondering. I'm going to split my carbs anyway so should I change the jets while I'm there, or can I make up a lot of ground with the Needle, and the air screw? Frogger
You'll have to go up on your main for sure. Especially if it's that lean.
Wildcardracing
I'd go up 2 sizes on your mains. turning in your airscrews richens the slow circuit (CPI's probably won't need as much fuel on the bottom) Lower your clip one position on your needle and go from there, you really can't make up ground between the circuits. jbooker82
Only do 1 adjustment at a time. Otherwise you will chase things around for ever.
csrmel
i am also doing the t5 to cpi thing. i talked to rob from rb racing and he said you shouldnt need to change mains or pilots when switching from t5's to cpi. just change needles. take that for what it worth. TexasBansheeMan
Man, I got the jetting right went up 1 main and put the needle on the 4th clip. Chop was great. Ran awesome. We put 4 hrs on the bike with the pipes Felt great and Plugs looked awesome. Went to the track got it off the trailor rode 45 min crapped out the right side. She still runs fine but shes farting glitter on the right side. Im going back to T5's and Building a diff set up. I miht even get some PT mids and Build it MX all the way. odaen
Got any pics of the carnage? Honestly, I would've guessed you would've had to bump down a few sizes on the main going from the T5's to CPI's. It's pretty typical for a ported 350 with T5's to be upward of 400'ish on the mains, while, down around 320'ish for CPI's.
TexasBansheeMan
I run 30mm OKO's with a Aggressive Dune port, +5 timing and 112 Oct. When I put on the CPI's I went to do a plug chop as stated and was lean as hell. I have ALWAYS run a Little fat. The stock top Lasted 6 years and NEVER had a problem. I will get some pics Tomorrow. And as for the Carnage Not much too show. I felt her bang out shut it down looked at thought Ahh what the hell started it up and saw shimmer all in the air. Before we went to the track we rode it for 4 hrs the day before doing plug chops and what not, all was well. Edited February 19, 2008 by TexasBansheeMan

If not just pull your pipe and intake off of that side, you can see a lot of the piston through the ports. See if you have detonated some of your piston crown. It will errode away from the center towards the exhaust port.
RagunCajun
on my play ported shee, i been thinking about going to cpi's and getting rid of my t5's. Hows the power delivery on them. How about when putt putting etc. I would like a ton of feed back on that if possible. btw on my play ported bike i run 320 mains. Each bike, port job is different i guess. csrmel
i put my cpi's on today and did a plug choip. it was spot on with the same jetting i used for toomeys. for my bike the cpis have more bottom end and midrange than the toomeys. but the pipe hits at a later rpm. when it does hit though, oh my god its crazy. i let my buddy ride it and the handlebars got ripped right out of his hands in 3rd gear.
