hollisatp
So I am breaking in my new motor and I installed the tors removal kit also.. I can get it to start.. but I dont think I have the idle adjusted right.. It sounds like it needs more air? the filters are clean and do not have an excess or oil on them.. I tried turning the air screw out a half turn also.. does this sound like just the idle or do I need to adjust something else?? same carb setting, got port job... thanks! so it will start but it sounds like it is starving down low.. hollisatp
ok so I took off the air filters and the carb is spitting out a fuel mist when I hit the throttle.. does this mean my jets are too big??
Wildcardracing
ok so I took off the air filters and the carb is spitting out a fuel mist when I hit the throttle.. does this mean my jets are too big?? Are you saying that you have the same jetting as before your port work????
hollisatp
yeah I do.. I would figure I would raise up the mains right?
wacko2000
I dont kno your elevation and every bike is different, but with pods and port work, your main is to smalll.. I was running 310's on a stock port shee with just bolt ons.. I would bump your main like 3-4 sizes, start with a 350 and go from there, thats what I have in my shee now and It rips... Im at sea level.. Your airscrew, only turn 1/2 turns at a time, take it for a ride and then turn a out 1/2 until it reaches the highest idle. 1-2 turns out prob..
