TexasBansheeMan
I ride A-stars Tech 7 Bitched are Bad $256 out the door.
Lepew
Don't get Thor Quadrants. They are very stiff and thick at the toe which makes it hard to shift.
differentstrokes
I've got Fox Forma's and I really like them alot.
jbooker82
I use some Alpinestars Tech 3's with the all terain sole. They are some nice boots 159 out the door. They are black and have tread on the bottoms instead of the smooth sole that typical mx boots have. Alpinestars also make a half boot that looks like a hiking boot. josh Alpinestars LINK
rtcc
Im looking around for some as well and I am pretty drawn to the half boots. Lots of different companies make them.
MILO
if you've ever had your shins raked across your footpeg or leg slipped under the rear wheel, you'll appreciate having reg height boots. i'm riding with a-stars t6's which i really like. i tried on about a dozen different brands and styles and i'm telling you, you get what you pay for. you really need to just go to some shops and try some on and see what fits you best. i was really after the thor t30's? until i tried them on, and they were really uncomfortable for me. the t6's were the most comfy and within my budget. try boots on at the shops and then shop the net for the best deal. oh yeah, and almost any boot will be stiff until well broken in. you'll get used to it in no time though and forget you even have them on, until they protect you as they're supposed to, then you'll be gratefull to have them. another little tip, you may have to raise your gearshift a little with riding boots on. shifting is hard to do without the flex in your ankle, you kind of have to shift with your whole leg. but again, you get used to it and soon won't even notice. i think you can't go wrong with a-stars though. shanYE west
Gearne and Sidi both make boots with a ankle hinge.. supposed to give better ankle movement front to back. My wife has the Sidi force boots and she really likes them. I beleive A.R.C also makes a boot like this. I use the Alpinestars M-6 Wich I think is the same as the Tech 3's now. With the type of riding I do now I think I might look into a set of Tech 2's.
caddyman
Im looking around for some as well and I am pretty drawn to the half boots. Lots of different companies make them. Well, as MILO said.....you will appreciate the full boot when you drive over your own ankle. I too looked at the half boot, but when I considered the protection of the full boot, I thought I better get a full boot. I'm going to look a the Fox, and Alpenstars. I hope one is in my budget.......I am going to get a pair Tuesday, cause I don't want to wait to have em shipped. I need them for the weekend  . Keep the input coming........... Rock-46
I have been using the half height boot for a few seasons now. I think they are the AXO ones if I remember right. I like them alot. I tried using a full boot for a while and did not like them / couldnt get comfortable. From there I was riding in regular shoes for a while. When I saw the half boots I went out and got a set and like them alot.

old87shee
sidi crossfires, the ONLY boot you should buy, hinged ankle, and feels like youre wearing a shoe, these things are a bit pricey, but ive had mine for 3 years now and they're waaaay better then anything else ive worn, including many different styles of tech crapo boots lol
caddyman
Ended up getting the Alpinestars Tech3's. I really didn't have much selection in my area where I live. Went to Brothers Honda and got NO HELP, so I left. I ffing hate that.......I'm going to spend damn near $200 at their store, and they ignore me. Oh, well, ready to ride now! Thanks for the input guys.
