xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 im confused, i have a 91 i thought it was j arm, now i feel stupid did i reed the frame # wrong or somethin? you can tell by looking at the upper front arms. if the arms look like this its j-arm. this is a j-arm frame with d-arms. NYUK Posted February 3, 2008 Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 you just have the frame? you can tell by the upper a arm, j arm mount. an a arm bike the inside of the mount is about 8 and 3 quarter inches. a j arm mount is about just under 4 inches. the spindles from each are not identical. the difference is the mounting point for the brake calipers.i have never tried the swap , but have heard it can be done.
