Street bike motors in a banshee

I did a quick search but didn't see anything really. For what it costs to build up the Banshee's motor, why don't more people just swap in a 600-1300cc bike or busa motor??

Are their powerbands that much different where they aren't any good for trail riding or what?

So pretty much just a fast straight shooting machine. The swap wouldn't be a problem for me since I have the skills and tools, just was curious what others thought. I guess it probably wouldn't be that great for much trail riding or dunes then. I just liked the idea of lots of HP with little $$.

And yup, it's definately no longer a banshee

It would be fun for crusing or duning and like Loco said play racing, but it would not fair well at drag racing against heavily modded drag banshees. We have a tl 1000 motor on nos, on a chrome moly drag frame and still have trouble with the heavily built drag banshees. The motors are soooo heavy.Currently we are putting a streetbike motor in a blaster frame it shoud make a fun play bike...
