Not sure where this should go but the topic says it all, A buddy got on my bike with some rideing pants and melted a nice little chunk to it, they are newer T5's just curious whats good if anything to get it off :ermm: Thanks guys.

heavy duty paint remover. or ez off oven cleaner. oven cleaner is heat activated so spray it on then take a 20 MIN RIP. it should come off. it takes a little elbow grease though.

I had this happen to mine but with my gloves melting to the pipes when I accidentally bumped them. I used very fine steel wool like 000 steel wool along with some mineral spirits. Turned those new chrome T6s back to new.

Ya I used an sos pad and then scrubed the rest off with some chrome polish it took a while but its off now. Oh ya let the chrome polish sit on there for awhile to sofen it up some.

i just got my banshee and the previouse owner said his little girl put her feet on the exhaust and it melted her shoes to it. i couldnt get anything to come off with several industrial cleaner then i just took a razer blade and was carefull and it came off in like 1 min. worth of work.

That's funny, I have that exact same issue! I had just bought my little girl brand new shoes and she rested them on the pipes and melted all the way almost into the shoes and now my pipes are all coated with melted plastic.... :blink:
