tnr
Just trying to figure out an approx. horsepower I will have. Any rough ideas will be appreciated. -Shaved head (b4 I got the bike it had no port work and stock pistons running 175lbs. compression, so I have to clue how much it has been shaved) -Wiseco pro lite pistons 64.75 (I believe that is .030 over Roughly 356cc) -Mild port (The guy that did it said the intake, exhaust, and transfers got opened up 15%) -Timing advanced 4 degrees -Boyesen pro series reeds on stock ported cages (dual stage) -30mm oko carbs with k&n pods -Toomey T-4's -Lightened flywheel -Boost bottle (I know that added 100 hp, haha, hand me down that looks better than the stock tube. Only thing it is good for is the bling factor) -Will be running 110 only Just curious what to expect when I finally get her running for the first time. Thanks Edited January 24, 2008 by tnr

BansheeRider71
Ya like posted above there will never really be any clear answer because there are so many factors that go into determining actual real number horsepower, it may not make sense but everyones banshee will run different one guys mods an bike will be totally different from the next but im gonna guess here, you prolly have between 50 an
tnr
Just looking for a rough idea. Very first bike and top end build. I know that no two bikes are the same and the portwork is a near impossible to tell. Just looking for 50-60, 60-70, of whatever the general area may be. I am sure that someone has had close to the same mods and put their bike on a dyno. I cant wait to get it started again so I can finally ride it. So now my free time consists of reading as much info as I can on this site.

BansheeRider71
The reason I said between 50 an 59 is because my best friend his shee has an extremely light/mild port, runnin fmf fattys, +4 timing, new top-end with wiseco pistons, K&N intake, v-force reeds, cool-head 20cc domes an he runs race fuel, maybe has a few other little things but anyways his shee dynoed 55hp on the dyno, ya I used to type really slow but now for some reason I can type fast. tnr
I should have had the head measured to see how much was shaved when shee was all in pieces. By the compression being 175 lbs, could you have a rough idea how much it was shaved. I understand the smaller the dome the more compression, but I have no clue about the ratio. Ex. if you shave your head .030 you will gain 15 lbs of compression. And once again, there are no two bikes alike and every one of them responds differently to mods. I am trying to learn as much as I possibly can. Probably one of those annoying newbies, but keep in mind, I got kicked off the shortbus.... Michael Jackson
your friend runs race fuel with 20 cc domes? why?!
BansheeRider71
your friend runs race fuel with 20 cc domes? why?! Because he has some light porting done an the timing set at +4, he mixes 50/50 93 pump gas an 108 with yama-lube at 32:1. To give it a little more peppyness an to take advantage of other mods, idk if this is right he has 20cc domes im pretty sure he said he ad 150 psi in each cylinder. csrmel
the port work is the biggest factor. it is entirely possible to have a cylinder ported by someone who is good at porting 4 strokes but doesnt really know what they are doing on a 2 stroke and you could actually LOSE power. so depending on the port work youre hp could be anywhere from 40-80hp. 80 is it was a really agressive job. just telling us that the ports were opened 15% doesnt really mean anything. we would need to know port durations and widths, angles, etc to make a good guess. I dont really think that is neccisarry at 150psi. I use straight 93 with 32-40:1 with +5 timing, porting and all that at 157 psi. No over heating or detonation. BansheeRider71
Ya but he swears it makes his shee run peppy-er, I would rather do that because you really dont know what your getting at the pump it could be re-badged 87 you shouldnt have to run race fuel until you go to 19cc domes or at least thats what I have been told.
