Chevyman89
Hey i was wondering good are the work shocks for mx and jumping just for fun not competition. Looking a getting FULLFLIGHT +2 a-arm, With work 3 rate with remote ressie. How will that fair. Thanks
RoushRacing13
Better than stock, but there are alot of better options than Full Flights and stock length Works shocks on a MX shee. If you are satisfied with a-arms made for stock length shocks, then chances are a set of YFZ450 stock shocks and a-arms would make better sense. Then you could spend the money left over on rebuilding the under-sprung stock rear shock. Just my 2 cents... There's a guy on here somewhere selling some pretty cool spacers to make the YFZ a-arm swap real easy.
Bansh-eman
the 450 shock swap is a joke. if your actually mx racing get your self some nice shocks like works black widows or some elka (althought im not a fan of elka) the cheaper works are fine if your just having fun and doing some track riding every once and a while, but if your looking to do sanctioned races get the right hardware. it makes a huge differance
Michael Jackson
leave the 450 front end where it belongs, on the 450! i couldnt imagine someone trying to race motocross with a front end that looks like its straight outa flat track racing
wacko2000
I have the works g-series on my shee, the are good shocks, not the best, for what I do Im very happy with them...If you are just looking for something better than stock any set ow works will make a world of difference for you.. RoushRacing13
Works with rezzies are pretty economical if you want aftermarket. Go for it. If you go with Full Flights or ASR a-arms you'll probably replace alot of those heim ball joints that come on those. Check out Wicked Products a-arms. They ROCK! I destroyed a set of ASR lowers mxing a 300ex with ohlins shocks. Just my experience...
Chevyman89
which ones do you think would be better the works or 3 rate with ressies or elka sport edition (are those the ones with no adjustments, just piggyback?) i've seen them on e-bay with full flight a-arms for 1200. atvfreestylekid
If you are not racing, Why different arms? Just get a decent set of works for stock arms. I don't think you would need the tripple rates though. But IDK
