dajogejr Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 They were packaged great, but only 1/2 of them fit what they were intended for....I got the kit from fastnerguy. It's probably going to cost me another $50 to piece together bolts for the rest of the bike, so I said screw it and just left the stock bolts. Did you contact him to let him know? Quote

dajogejr Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Gotcha... That's odd, he specifically said he doesn't carry upper arm bolts, for A or J arm shees. His lower arm bolts fit mine nicely. I always use a nut and washer on the wheels, I think most people do too.... Sorry bout your luck, but...I don't doubt ya. I don't have most of that stuff on my bike... Quote

I don't have most of that stuff on my bike... your right about the A-arms I got it backwards lol. He provides nuts washer and then lockwasher. Thats a ton of hardware, I just use flange nuts on my wheels. Might not be stainless but it is alot less stuff to drop in the sand. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 thats odd, i got a fastnerguy set as well and iv used everything on it. i dont have a single bolt thats not allen head that i can think of on my bike. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 (edited) thats odd, i got a fastnerguy set as well and iv used everything on it. i dont have a single bolt thats not allen head that i can think of on my bike. I have a feeling he has new kits, I have posted pics on this topic before, with pics of the bolts that do not fit, as well as sent them to the seller. but in the end I would have to piece together a new kit for myself (lots of work) Or just buy another kit to fill in the missing bolts (maybe???) but I refuse to do that when I already purchased from this guy. Why should I have to pay an extra $100 for another kit? I'm getting pissed off and tired of buying parts that don't fit up properly or need to be modified etc to work on the banshee so when I come across them (like this bolt kit) I will continue to post my feelings on it. Sure It was only a wasted $100 but it still sucks. Edited January 22, 2008 by Justintoxicated Quote
PSYKO Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 I have the same kit as in the first post. Looks good but I dont know how great it is since I am still gathering parts for my build. The kit is a lifesaver since my shee was held together by all kinds of mismatched crappy bolts I have aquired from my buddies garage and work, lol. Quote
jcbanshee Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I have one and its ok...Its kind of a pain because it has allen heads... Quote
RNBRAD Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I used Alloyboltz kit... for the most part everything was perfect. I think the only issue I had was the front rotor bolts stuck out a little too far. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I have one and its ok...Its kind of a pain because it has allen heads... thats the whole reason i went with the bolt kit. i wanted the allen head because its much harder to strip them out unlike the weak screws and bolts that come on there Quote
dajogejr Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Hell yes. I will take allen heads over phillips screws any day of the week fo sho!!!! Quote
theshee Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I have one and its ok...Its kind of a pain because it has allen heads... thats the biggest advantage of the bolt kit. Quote
meanv10 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 thats the biggest advantage of the bolt kit. I bought the 522 piece kit from alloyboltz off eBay, thought it was a nice kit, the SHCS are nice, the packaging was a little confusing but it could just be me. nice kit for cheap, i also like that its 304 stainless, not the shiniest or strongest but very corrosion resistant.
