jbooker82
People really use aluminum sprockets on dirt bikes because they have a huge rear sprocket. Aluminum vs Steel on an atv sprocket isnt going to save enough weight to make it worth buying.

locogato11283
you can buy a whole lot of primary drive sprockets for the price of one set of sidewinder or any other high priced sprocket. i have a bunch of PD sprockets. 13,14,15 and 40,41,42,43,44. i can do damn near any gear ratio. i get my big sprockets like 16,17,18 from sprocket specialists. ClimbAnyHill
I'll skip a meal, make up for the weight of my steel sprockets.. Not a big deal..
csrmel
you guys are going to laugh, but i get my sprockets from the motorcycle junkyard. they are $2 each. no tax. no shipping charges. i got more sprockets then i know what to do with. and i only buy ones that are in almost new condition. chain on the other hand, i wont buy used. not worth risking my cases over a piece of chain. RNBRAD
If your unsure of what gear ratio your going to run and need a few sets to test then I'd buy something cheaper than the sidewinders. I've never had to replaced my sidewinders so they may be worth it in the long run to use them. I also use the DID atv x-ring chains.
