71prostreet
Was wondering what the best 2 stroke oil to use is. I have used the yamlube 2-r but now I have been using the amsoil 100:1 but have been mixing it as 40:1 is this good stuff or is there anything better to use? I use castor 927 and 32:1 and I like it...Also used Maxima but the smell gave me a headache...

dajogejr
Please use the SEARCH....as you can already see, there is no best oil...only everyone's favorite to run. As long as it's not Crisco or Mazola in a can...and mixed at a normal ratio...you'll be fine. Proper jetting and air filter maintenance are more important than oil type, IMO... Coincidentally....I hear Bansh-eman and Firehead like Crisco..."in the can"... I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that...good for them, not my style....just saying...that's what I heard... :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

csrmel
last time i checked, yamalube was just rebadged citgo oil which is sold as an expensive oem oil. you can get the same oil in a citgo bottle for half the cost at a gas station. it is nothing special. i use castrol 2t atv oil at 25:1.
