shanYE west
There is alot of nice 4-strokes coming out.. Can-am's 450 looks nice, polaris outlaw 525 and the 450 (uses straight axle) are the newest models. LTR450, YFZ450 are very nice too. Go to your dealers and sit on them and see wich one fits you the best and tickles your fancy. They're all pretty nice if you ask me. But for track you might want to stay clear of the independet rear suspension. They tend to have alot of roll in the corners.
theshee
I would get a yfz or ltr for the track. Im not sold on the KTM bikes just yet, i cant wait to step on ones throat this year with the rap 700.

EastCoast Banshee
Personally i know what kinda motors KTM makes and they are some of the best in my oppion not to mention they use top of the line parts for everything they make. I think the chassis on the quad is already chromoly to top it off. Either way i sat on one at a dealership and let me tell you its a beast and a hell of a nice bike from what i could see. only time will tell i guess but if i was gonna get a 450 id eiter go with it or the new can-am. May be the first year for them both but they have great companies backing them and im sure they were built the right way.

Very well built bike, quicker then a honda 450, but has no top speed. Banshee will pass right by it in 5th & 6th gear.
MarineNYC
Seems like their going to set the standard for what a stock machine should offer. Ohlins shocks all around, extended axle and arms, adjustable stem. And I think the come stock with itp rims and razers. Thats about 4000 in upgrades right there
2strokespirit
I'll go for the KTM525, if I had to choose a 450, the 2008 LTR.
help
I heard that the KTM comes with 53 hp stock :woot: . It's pretty much a race ready bike right out of the box. Rims, tires, shocks, and frame. If i can find one cheap enough i think ill get one!!! Thanks!!

EastCoast Banshee
Either way you look at this the next year or so is gonna be a big year in atv's. I really wanna see if yamaha is gonna step up some and do up the 450 like some of the other manufactures seem to be doing.
