KaosBanshee44
I got so many chrome parts and not to mention the bearing carrier already for a stock axel for my drag bike but still haven't decided if i wanna start all over and get a drag axel. How many draggers out there run stock axels? Or is it just stupid to run a stock axel? I plan on riding at the dunes every now and then as well. shanYE west
I used to run a stock axle and Badassbanshee379 uses a stock axle too. If you already got all your parts chromed for it.. run it. If your looking to shed as much weight as possible then you might want the drag axle. KaosBanshee44
Wasn't to worried about the weight so good i'm just gonna run with what i got. I want the wider stance anyway when i go to the dunes. Thanks man
theshee
Id just run the one you have. Drag ones are light but not that great for duning if you will do much. Not only that they are expensive!
KaosBanshee44
Yeah i second that!
00tbanshee
i run the stock axel on my dragger and just flip the hubs around to get the wheels to set in further.works fine.

Not only that they are expensive! Not if you know the right people.... If you plan on straight line drag racing only, get a drag axle. You wouldn't believe how much lighter they are... If you're gonna dune, keep the stocker.
flotek
get a 03 or newer blaster axle...totally bolt in compatable ..its lighter ,3 inches narrower and still tough as nails Edited January 6, 2008 by flotek
KaosBanshee44
See i didn't think about that to, i can always have my stock axel if i go to the dunes and just switch it out with the drag if i go to the track it don't take long but as of now i'm just gonna get the stocker in there so i can have a rollin chasis and get everything else done. Drag axles are 40mm and stock axles are 35mm. Gonna have to have 2 different carriers with different bearings.
KaosBanshee44
I know that's why i posted this thread cause i didn't wanna have to get a different bearing carrier, new axel, etc.
FASTOYS
Can also run a Raptor axle as it is -2 narrower and about 1lb lighter. If you go Alum. you can also go with the JJ&A Hillshooter , thats what i run on my play bike!
KaosBanshee44
Do the stock brake/sprocket/and wheel hubs fit straight to them?
