Does it have to be a brake light? Or can it just be a light?

Just get a small LED Light and wire it up to the harness, it's only one wire and it's out the way and not so bulky as a flashlight would be...lol

That's what we do when we head to the track at night it's no bigger than a penny but it's bright and does the job.

Are ya sure it's not the voltage regulator? Are the bulbs blown? I've never known the lighting part of the stator to stop working, but I suppose it could happen.

not sure my friend told me it was probably stator i will now check into it ,out of nowhere all the lights stopped working head and tail lights

replace the bulbs first, homie.

Unless you're running HUGE Hella lights or something like that, find a good OEM stator, NYUK usually has a few laying around...I actually just got 2 off him.

the ignition side of the stator and the lighting side are separate, so one can work without the other...

I thought the same thing, what does he need lights for on a drag bike... Sorry, I'm a sand kinda guy...:) I understand.

Try bulbs, try replacing the recitifier (silver box next to the CDI on the back end of the bike)

See if that helps. I just gave firehead a recitifier I had laying around, I'm sure Johnny boy has a few of those too...

Good luck!
