530grafix Posted January 5, 2008 Report Share Posted January 5, 2008 Im thinking about putting a + 10 swinger on my alky cub and am wanting to find out if im better off revalving my stocker or marvin shaws. i do 50/50 flat drag and hillshooting. also who to go to for revalving. Thanks Its a ruff ride with my comps on flat ground, I couldn't imagine trying to hill race with them.. I'd say check into a revlave and respring or a nice coil over shock. John safarian of Sand Toys Unlimited Recommends a +10 with a 10 paddle and 15/43 gearing on a 4mil alky cub.. out here at Sand Mountian our Sand is heavier. So Cals Sand is lighter I.E. wesw Posted January 5, 2008 Report Share Posted January 5, 2008 will say in okla a gas 421 a 6 over with 13 paddle ext hooked hard, came up a bit, so an 8 would be ideal. alky 421 thats been worked over a lot with a 12 over 25in 14 paddles ext didnt hook as hard as it should, never came up. so 10 over with same tires would be probably ideal but each places is different. take it for whatever you want but 10 paddles isnt enough with a 10 over i dont care what sandtoys says. if you want it to hook up trust me. i run 10 paddles 21s with a 4 over for dicking around and they dont hook up good enough.
