chillls
my problem is that my filters wont clear the pipes. some one said to use a zip tie to keep them away from the pipes. witch i was fine with doing that but it wont work in my bike. so my next step is to go to velocity stacks to clear the pipes. about 5" stacks i sall i need. what do you guys think???? chillls
with the pj34s the filters are all ready touching each other. i cant tie them together if they are ready there. getting frustrated with this carb swap :: i hope its going to be worth it
wesw
they do make angled k&n pods where you can rotate them and it will get them out of the way. the neck is angled.

RU 1720 is the K & N filter I use. It has a 20 degree angle off center and has a 2 1/4" flange opening. It is 6" long and 3 1/5" filter diameter. The flange length is 1". It gives good clearance for the exhaust.

I've done it on just about every banshee I've had pods on, it can be done. ...and you dont' have to spend the $$ on new filters. Another option would be to put some heat wrap around the pipes next to the filters. I've seen a couple members here on the board do this and it works great. I've seen a couple members here on the board do this and it works great. Yep that is what I did. I ran the short ones on my t5's. The LH filter layed against the heat wrap with no problems. They dont get hot at all. Cascade Heat Wraps LINK

I run a boss intake and 10 deg filters. 20 deg filters were to much because the intake makes my carbs sit level. Do a search for boss intake to find some pics of mine.
