mods for $1000

personaly my buddy has a 02 banshee with the 4mil stroker with 67mm bore which is like a 408. something full cpi in frame pipes v3's its ported cool head filters and that thing ran like a champ on stock suspension with a +4 swinger now he has went to works shocks and its a difference....but if he wants to go fast and can handle the quad and is a decent rider i say go for the power

suspension first, THEN power.

 

you can have the biggest baddest motor out there if your setup cant hold the power to the ground your not going to win regardless.

 

get some Wicked A Arms off ebay. and get some used shocks. dont buy a longer swinger until you need it. there is no need to push the ass end out without the added motor.

 

although the very first thing you should change is your pipes, this will make a night and day difference, but before you go dropping money into alot of power you need a good stable suspension

im sure he aint going woth a 4mil cub in sotkc bike..

 

i personaly would wake her up first with pipes and k.n.... then go for arms and axle.... just like how i did my shee..

with 1k theres no way he is getting a stroker, but you and i both know as soon as you start adding power then comes the addiction. it wont stop at the reeds timing plate and milled head. then what. he will drop more into going faster but will more then likely go slower because it didn't start at ground zero with the suspension.

Just a thought....I'd say you could spend 2 grand on suspension and leave the motor stock on one; and put pipes, reeds, filter, timing plate, shaved head on another and leave the suspension stock on another....and the one with the motor work will always win in a drag race, and would win in almost every other type of race as well, granted, it would beat the hell out of ya!!

 

JMO...I've always been a drag racer, and the only suspension upgrade I've ever done is Marvin Shaws or struts, so I'm biased here.

 

You will have more fun on it with the motor work vs. the suspension for your first $1000. If you ride tight, technical trails..get a 450, jmo.

i just took this vidio 5 mins ago , stock bolt on banshee 350, pipes stock reeds ,jetted pods +4 timming one up gears tehre fast enough just with pipes , and most pipes can be bought used pretty cheap , so if he dosent have pipes , get a set , but i thought he had pipes and was just looking for more power.
