foxracing350
i know this is a dumb question but sometimes they need to be asked lol is there anyway to get the rearend on my shee to sit higher? i see some pics of shees and they sit higher in the rear than mine and my shock is adjusted to the highest setting
wacko2000
What year is your bike? Or how old is the shock? How much do you way? what type of riding do you do? Post up some pics so we can see how bad it is sagging... I had my rear shock rebuilt and it doesnt sag like it used to and it is a 2000... Michael Jackson
your shock is adjusted to the highest setting!?? huh? there is no ride height adjustment.. if you crank the preload nuts all the way DOWN on the spring, it will make it ride higher with you on it because itll be stiffer.. you wana be using the whole stroke of the shock though. you dont want it so hard that you are only using 3-4 inches of travel. I hope you meant there IS ride height adjustment, because adding "preload" is a ride height adjustment. The only way to make a spring stiffer is to replace it with a stiffer one. Spring bind is only going to be an issue if you put a spring that is not designed for the travel of the shock. So if you have already adjusted all of the ride height you can out of the stock spring you can buy a heavier spring for about $25.
Michael Jackson
sorry, i stand corrected, but tightening the spring preload is a pretty shitty way to make it sit higher, ive done the same thing and it just makes the suspension very stiff and unforgiving and wasnt even using the whole stroke which is pointless, i had like 4-5 inches of rough travel beatin the shit outa my back, not to mention even worse traction than before

20Banshee03
I need to know as well. I need a "Heavier Duty" spring for me. I am 6'3" 270 and mine squats pretty good right now with my fat a$$. Edited January 10, 2008 by 20Banshee03
EastCoast Banshee
Im pretty sure cascade innovations and tcs could hook you up with a different spring. Do remember its never gonna work properly unless you get it revalved with the stiffer spring.
