YFZ or elka recs?

I can get YFZ 450 shocks for 200 or less used but like new 05-07 or Elka recs for 450 or less new to spec. Are the 450`s that good for the money, or should I just spend the extra and get the recs? I cant make up my mind. I ride extremely hard gncc/woods, and moderate mx. Im going to be racing in a Florida circuit soon, and need to get some better gear.

450 Shocks are not bad and can be converted into a dual rate shock and valved for you but by the time you do that your already in 350.00. Elkas are the way to go. I have them on mine and I love them. Definatly worth the cash.

I picked up my yfz shocks for $180 new. HUGE improvement over shot stocks. I have these 450 shocks setup on the softest setting & can run thru all the ruts, chopped up sand & whoops in glamis no prob!!!!!! I prob won't have them revalved, most likely step it up to works!

I picked my 06' yfz's just under $160 new and picked up a triple rate WORKS spiring kit for $199 and one of my buddys have a 06' shee with elkas and another with WORKS black widdows and after riding mine he wished he wouldnt have spent the money. as 4 the balljoint problem i have been running mine hard since sept 06' and no problems yet!!
