CRY BABIES (450)

help

Recommended Posts

I know ya'll are talking about the 450's but, the 700's

run really well too. I've got a PC3, K&N intake no lid, and

dual barkers on my 700 & from seat of the pants it feels there

abouts or maybe even faster than a piped banshee.

Its been a long time tho, since I've ridden a banshee with

just pipes on it.

Its not really about 450's.. Its more about the modern 4-strokes not gettin the credit they deserve.

I have the Suzuki 450r 2007 and I tell you this thing is fast as hell. I have full yoshimura exhaust, cherry bomb, and modqaud filter setup no airbox lid. Mind you that the Suzuki 450r is fuel injected. I have whipped about 2 banshee's already from start to the end. I also have a banshee and I love them to death, but the Suzuki 450r is where its at right now as far performance, speed, and reliability. Not saying the banshee doesnt have all those things, but the Suzuki 450r is just crazy and amazing.

i also have a ltr 450 that has taken out alot of shee's......the banshees that beat my zuk are 4 mil duners....i have put about 2500 into my zuk so far,so power doesnt come cheap..but for stoke stroke/bore and reliability i cant complain.steve AKA socalin it tell them buddy

Very true guys...

I personally would love to have a little hopped up 700, they rip ass from what I hear. Two of my track buddies have pretty quick Raptors, but they'll both tell you they probably have 2-3 times the $$ into them...

Brady080 has a very quick stock stroke cub shee, and my buddy Newtz is thinking of selling his Raptor for a drag shee, last I talked to him as well.

The 700s rip pretty damn hard. Ive got a little motor work done to mine and it runs very well.

Hilarious- Your 3 mod will beat a piped banshee, mine with DMCs, an intake and PCIII beat my bros pipes shee all day long. After the cam, piston, barkers, dynatek ignition, and a good dyno tune, its night and day difference from the 3 mod too. They respond to mods very well. The dyatek is a great mod on the 700s too, their power falls off really bad around 6k rpm, and the dynatek will allow it to pull hard all the way to the rev limiter if you want it to.

This was before the ignition which is suppose to be worth 2-3 more horse, and this bike is unported. Will probably be going to Jeff next winter for some port work.

yea the 700s run great as well, ive ridden a couple of them quite a few times, they got a shitload of torque all over the place, you can just lug them around a gear hjigher and poke ther throttle and the front end will still come up.. as far as your 3 mod raptor kicking your piped banshees ass all day long, does your banshee have a boo-boo?, i have a friend with a "3 mod" 700 and we ride all the time and he cant pull a foot on my piped banshee unless maybe if we raced in loose dirt from a dead stop..but they defintly get the power to the ground out of the hole alot better, which goes without saying, if i could own a second quad i think it would be the 700, the 450s are a little cramped for me, although i have only ridden the honda and yama so i cant speek for all of em especially with all the new ones now, and that ktm 525 sounds like its gona be fuckin bad ass, but out of what ive ridden, id take a 700 in a second, they still need to be widended out though, my friend has his +2's and lonestar axle, very nice machine, i think too many banshee die hards think 400ex when they think of 4 strokes and they dont even give these new ones a chance, they just bash them no matter what

no its actually a very fast banshee for the mods its got. Rider is 90% of it on the 700s, if you dont have a dynatek ignition, you have to short shift them, or they dont run near as well. Also what gearing is he running? First thing you should do after the 3 mods, is a 15t front sproket. Helps a lot!

yep ive noticed that, they love to be lugged and short shifted, no matter how bad u lug them they will pull right through it and pull the front end up at low rpm, pretty cool, but yea your right the power falls off substantially in topendd, i guess you couldnt find 2 more totaly opposite sport quads, its pretty funny some of the stories you read on here about piped banshees killing piped 450s and 700's by 10 lengths and shit like that... if thats the case,it was the riders dumb ass who lost the race, not the bike's

sweet,so what compression you gona bump it up to? you said your gona get it ported too? bet itll have torque like a fuckin big block..

I put a 12.5:1 piston in it. Seems to run very well with it. It has got twice the torque it did before the piston, pin it in fourth and it comes up quick.
