i did a few frame mods (removed some baloney ya know) and acidentally chopped off my tabs that hold the airbox in, i had cut up the airbox to make sort of an open intake (see pic)

ok. so scrap the intake all togeather, WHEN i jetted the bike i installed 320 mains and did a plug chop at about +24 degrees celcius, late summer temperatures and it was dead on perfect. i plan riding over the holidays and its about -5 degrees celcius. i KNOW im going to be lean without the intake but im just wondering how bad it will be considering the tempereture is so much lower now than in summer. should i risk a few short runs or will the jetting be way to far off? do you guys rejet lower in colder temps?

well if just takin the lid off does a load of difference and is needed to be rejeted if you do o then imagine how much better flow you get with the whole unit off your pretty much running one big pod filter

if it was still 24 degress celcius then you would need to rejet with that kind of mod

now since its colder wether you DEFINATLY need to rejet

so go from 320 to oh maybe try 360 do a plug chop and go from there

ok. so the question has been sort of answered, ill try again simpler.

colder outside temperetures = less oxygen in the air correct?

so, i need larger jets for thinner air?

Yes in the winter you have to rejet or you will be running lean...

I usually run my bike alittle rich so I dont have to rejet in the winter, I just leave it...

So yes you will have to go bigger without you airbox and especially bc Its cold...Like said above, If you where running a 320 before I would go up acouple sizes and do a chop....
