BingiX
waddup everyone fairly new to the forum..but i have been hanging around for a couple months or so and i finaly decide to seek advice from your personal experience.here is the deal i use to live in florida originally from the Caribbean but i live in idaho have been now for 5 yrs.and i swear having a quad here is like mandatory .the bottom line is that my girlfreind family is big on quad in the summer and next yr im getting one more around may.i have the money to get one now but im kinda stuck my budget is $3000 and i honestly fell inlove with the banshee from first glance thats all i talk about for like the last yr they all like don't waste your time getting that but they cant sway me away from it.my biggest question is they do pure trails thats all nothing else not too much rugid ones sinse we have the wife's with us and i want to know if a stock banshee would do good for does pure light ridding alittle burs of speed here and there on the straight aways or would i have to settle for one of does bulky qauds like what everyone else have??? theshee
You can trail ride banshees, dune em, you can do it all on a banshee. I would either get a banshee or a raptor if I was you.
Michael Jackson
honestly if your just putsin around on tight trails, with woman with you, a banshee isnt the best choice, youd be better off on a 4 stroke.. raptor, 400ex, ect. riding a banshee with woman and people on 4x4's on tight trails would be like brining a front wheel drive car to a drift competition
peterlocal22
banshees are great for trails. i ride mostly trails and love the banshee. for 3000 you can get a great deal on a banshee already set up for trails. let us know how things work out
BingiX
i dont know if this helps or not but here is some pics of the trails we do up here.. http://atv.off-road.com/atv/article/articl...l.jsp?id=328912
theshee
wide trails like that would be killer on a shee or rap 700. Either bike would be good for those groomed trails.
Michael Jackson
ooooh nice groomed trails. wide, open.. i take back my last statement, get a banshee, you will love it.. your group of woman and 4x4's will hate you though
91banshee
yea i like trails like that , wide ass open , leave the wife at home...... this is to save your marriage , the guys on the farm uttys can just hang back and you and your banshee can blister those trails , i know its in you to wana haul ass and feel the power of a 2 stroke sport quad ,dont tell me you wana ride behind a 60 year old man on his utty with your wife nagging in your ear to slow down. get a banshee and find out what youve been missing . Washburn
Those trails are nice and open but if you are in a groupe of 4x4s and you dont want to fly by them and wait to see what trail they are taking next get a put put 4 stroke. That you can cruise on. Banshees dont like going slow they usualy load up and sputter when you crank the throttle to get rid of what gas is left in the carbs from going slow. Raptor 700 is a nice bike but its power is all lowend torque very nice for trails but if you want to feel it when you hit the powerband the Banshee is the only way to go. YFZ 450 is nice too and has more of a broad powerband for a 4 stroke but again nothing like a Banshee espically a Banshee with pipes proper jetting and an airbox mod BRAAAP BRAAAAAAAAAAP

I put a bunch of cabbage into it because I will be racing that kind of element and I want to compete. everyone pretty much knows 4 strokes handle better out of the box and are eayser to ride I will never switch untill my body and bones tell me to do so. I never said a 4 stroke is better I was just trying to explain the diffrence in power which is hard to do over the internet. I rode Raptors and 450s even 250Rs before I chose the Banshee and I can trade my Banshee anytime to any of the nuemorous 450 guys setup like mine with Elkas, Axis, ect who offered. But hell no. I like the power of the 2 stroke twin to much to get a coushier 4 poke.

BingiX
wow thanks guys for all the reply..with all that answer im pretty much sitting at a 70% mind set to get the banshee.i just have a couple more question and that pretty much would settle it.one of the main reason why i havent gotten one yet is mainly becuz everyone says there good and fast and would be good here and there but my main thing is that can you ride the banshee slow for a period at times or do you always have to be haulling ass on it,cuz one of the reason is this is my first quad i know the banshee is manual but i have some experience on 2 wheel but 4 is a deffrent story,.cuz honestly i wont be going that fast maybe 10% of the time on like straight aways or when someone thinks they can pass me..lol..i have a little place here call prestle hill were alot of people go 4wheeling its not big, there is one big hill and alot of little trials around it and i think i would be there most of the time sinse its only like 5mins away from me.and plus i have a 1arcer backyard and would love to teach my wife how to ride it too.so honestly can you ride the banshee long period of times going slow or do i have to go fast.???
