dajogejr
I think alot of people are gonna have a hard time believing those times without proof... those time with No override and on gas with a stock unlightend frame is kinda a tuff pill to swallow.. Like Dave said.. The fastest 350 in the country is running 3.8's and 3.9's with a full drag chassis and all lightweight parts, override on alky with a light wieght jocky.. and his times are only off by .05 in a stock chassis? Shayne... I've stepped back and taken your approach on a lot of things, I try not to disbelieve anything anymore... Damn near anything can happen, and there are a few freak bikes out there that flat out haul the mail. But...I think you and I and JT (along with our PS/Michigan racing buddies) have been to the track enough, seen enough bikes run, etc., to say those are VERY impressive numbers... I'm sure there are faster tracks out there than the ones in MI, but my bike runs times within a tenth at all three tracks we ride at...so it's hard for me to believe the tracks out there are that much faster than our own tracks. I could see if one track we ride was 2 to 3 tenths slower than the others...but, they're not. However, as said...anything is possible.....
banshee332
I can tell you guys this much here in pa there are slow ass tracks and then there are fast tracks. 2 years ago in a stock chassi at my home track which is like a clay/dirt mix I ran consitent 6.3-6.4's in 500ft. then the other track we ran a sand/dirt track with out changing set up or gearing I would run consitent 5.9-6.0's 500ft also. Then there is tomahawk which opened this year its 500ft and its like a hard dirt/sand track I would run consitent 5.7'-5.8's. I even ran my beat e.t there of 5.5 This was this year my motor was faster and our home track that is considered the slow track I ran pretty much 6.2's all year there. So from my experience any track that is a sand based track would be a faster track. I know with the sand tracks you hook up a hell lot better. shanYE west
I'm not saying it can't be done, anything is possible.. But them times are just flat out rippen for a stock cylinder 350 with a stock chassis.. I dunno..... I guess its just one of those things.. badassbanshee479
I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm just saying without time slips...I find it very hard to believe... Considering the best built 350 ran 3.8 or 3.9 and that was drag frame, override, alky, lockup...120lb jockey...etc. JT...I think we wasted a lot of money on our motors if we could turn those numbers on a gas motor in a stock frame....with no override.... kinda what I was thinkin dave! dajogejr
I dunno, Brad... Some of the dirt tracks allow for chisels and ice picks, don't they? I can't imagine hooking up any better than that....except pavement maybe... I know before I hit the ice with my ice chisel tires, I'll be making a bar for mine!! I know before I hit the ice with my ice chisel tires, I'll be making a bar for mine!! the one track does but the (slow ) track its not allowed. But the one you are allowed at you get just about they same amount of traction with pro wedge 2's
badcompany
yea i race with tony and he'll back up any time ive said. the times on gas have been after years of riding and tuning the same basic setup. The pro-stock banshees used to be the biggest class around here. I ran a four over swingarm, the motor was a local ported motor by Albany Cycle Performance and i weigh 150 pounds. the frame had tabs and such removed. When I ran the 4.33 there was no bar but i eventually put a bar on it and it ran consistant 4.40s with a high 4.30 every once in a while. I dont think i have any timeslips because this was a while ago but ive ran in the 4.30s at two different tracks and 4.40s and 50s at basically every track we've been too. I do have a timeslip of the 4.06 run since it happened earlier this month.
dajogejr
Hey...that's moving out big time on a stock motor bike with no override/lockup or bar (at the time of the .33) Congrats...you're getting it done for sure.
Brady080
i ran a 4.33 on a stock frame stock cylinder gas 350, no ovverride and inframes. Same motor on alcohol, override and stretched stock frame went 4.06 first time out. dawn i need to go to this track..........i will make the first ever 3.9 pass riddin a wheelie

LOL... You about ready for some ice yet?
00tbanshee
some times are just hard for some people to swallow.just look at my bike,i run 500ft along with brad(banshee332).the shitter track we run at i went a 5.9 and brad never went in the 5,s and the better track we both went 5.5.my motor is just alittle motor check my sig.and am running a stock chassis nothing cut off of it and i way about 235.brad is running a 10mil cub cylinder drag chassis and weighs less then me. to watch looks like he should be running alot faster times then me.that just goes to show that the bigger motors are not always faster.just looks like brads motor over powers the tracks we run at and mine goes straight and i s smooth the whole way down the track about everytime. 06BaNsHeE
Us fat people should be jockeys. We got it all wrong in the drag scene.Fatter=faster in dirt.More weight=more traction.I knew it all along. I almost thought about building a smaller motor for bbdr and tomahawk I really dont hook that well there nither.I just sure hope thunder valley opens thats where my bike shines. Im trying a couple new things on the chassi this year to see if I can hook up. Wish there was a 300ft track close.
00tbanshee
brad once you get it set up for these harder tracks think you will do better.yours seems the faster out of all the bigger motors i run against.(over 500cc trex's,10mil stock cylinder,4mil and 7mil stock cylinder big bores)
