I ended up picking up the +2 unfinished (no paint/chrome) round style swing arm with carrier from Cascade for $550. Looks extremely strong for the hard trails I will be riding. The $550 price didn't bother me. I wanted something unfinished since I'm powder coating everything in house, it comes with a JJA carrier, it's not a tube style swinger (which I really don't trust for the riding I do), and life time warrenty. Washburn Posted December 16, 2007 Report Share Posted December 16, 2007 Hell no Banshees stock swingarm is to long for alot of the hardcore trail guys. I think a longer swingarm in the woods is a handeling nightmare compared to a stock or -2. But if you have a heafty port job you will probably need it. if your riding with anyone thats fast through the trails you are gonna get smoked with a +2. If you drag race most of the time then it is called for. The stock swingarm is fine for the steep long rocky rutted hills. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wacko2000 Posted December 16, 2007 Report Share Posted December 16, 2007 Okay I would say that on a completly stock banshee or even with pipes a stock swingarm is def cool, I rode the stocker on both my shee's for years, but once I did my motor I knew that the +2 was gonna help get the front tires down some.. I notice that when I race the front really acts weel when I nail it from the start.. I also changed my gearing though..15/40..I dont have any compliants with the +2, my opinion is that for the amount of time that I spend in the trails its just fine for me...I dont dis-agree with the fact that It might not handle as well as a stocker would in the trails but I willing to sacrafice the little bit of handleing that you loose for the gains everywhere else...just my .02 cents Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wacko2000 Posted December 16, 2007 Report Share Posted December 16, 2007 our not going to know what you are going to like or whats best for you bike unless you try different things, but the stocker on and see how you like it with you new mods and then take it from there..If you want to wheelie more and you want more traction go shorter, if you are wheeling to much or you do alot of hill climbing go longer.... trial and error buddy...I got my chrome swinger from some dude on ebay its chrome and it looks sweet...If you dont like something just sell it, you wont have a prob selling anything here thats for sure... Washburn Posted December 16, 2007 Report Share Posted December 16, 2007 What kind of riding do you do most of? If your in tight technical stuff going longer would be a bad move. If you ride more on fireroads and drag and just like to play the +2 would probably be better. It also depends on your porting and what your putting to the ground.
