Cutting Down Frame

What do you use to bend the pipe? I am looking at a JD2 model 3 bender.

I would have to say that would be an extremely good choice. I just ordered that exact bender in the deluxe kit along with 6 sets of dies. Kinda pricey, but still much cheaper that some of the others. Until recently, I have been using a conduit bender...but it is difficult to get consistancy. So you end up wasting materials here and there until parts match. I have only been able to bend up to 3/4 and only up to 90 degrees, which really makes things difficult. I really enjoy the look of curved tubing, plus the stregnth added to a curved is great.

Check out this website, I just ordered a little over $2000.00 from these guys. They have an awsesome arrangement of fabrication tools.

Vansant Prdoucts

The cost of the bender isn't too bad....its the dies that get ya. I ordered a notching/coping tool, multi angle tubing clamps, design software, etc. Can't wait to get it all in. I hope this helps you guys out some.

Unfortunetly I cannot Weld Titanium. Chromoly, Dom, Mild Steel, and learning Aluminum and Stainless is about it. Mig is my strong point, still working with Tig though. I am tooling up to build Frames, A-arms and Swingarms. Mostly all Drag relatied parts. Not too much in the realm of MX or Trails. I will let you guys know when tooling and jigs get finished. We are in the process of relocating a machine shop from KY back to AZ. So bare with me. My garage is my makeshift shop currently and it just isnt working. When the time comes....hopefully quite soon, I will be offering some killer deals on a-arms and swingarms and Stems. I do not even want to get anyone excited or give any clue to price, but I will say that I will need to gets these out in the market and I cannot think of a better way than to do it through you guys.

hey tim when your ready to sell that green frame  in background let me know  ...

Hey Shawn......how have ya been! I'm sure the day will come when the Green Frame goes.....but it has been my pride and joy. Everything just happen to come together so well with that bike, between the frame mods, powdercoat, billet and my make shift paint job. I am gonna have a hard time parting with it.

But I want to thank everyone for there compliments. I really does mean alot to me to know that others enjoy seeing my work. I aim to please and try to never disappoint. I'll have to find ways to make you guys hungry for more.

I have been brainstorming a RatRod style drag banshee. I can picture it in my head.....Satin black throughout with old school red pin stripes. Red rims and see if someone can paint white walls on some triple buffs. Its kinda hard to picture....but if you are familiar with the old school RatRod cars.....then I think you could appreciate the idea. Anyways.......we'll have to see what I can come up with.
