Kawasaki H2 motor in a banshee frame?

anyone ever put a H2 motor in a banshee frame or any other 4 wheeler frame??? My buddy has a H2 motor with everything laying around his shop. hes also got an older banshee frame sitting there with a +6 swing arm. he says one of these days hes gonna fab the H2 motor into the frame. i would think it would be fast as shit seeing as a stock H2 motor makes about 75 whp. just wondering if anyones done this??

for those of you that dont know what an H2 is, its a 750 triple 2 stroke. was a bad ass drag bike in the 70s.

421 ported cub can make 100 hp and weigh less than that h2 and better yet the 421 bolts in the frame

We put one in a 1986 lt250r chassis back in 1993. We built a 3 into 1 pipe for it, and turned the cylinders around so the carbs faced forward. we had 3 mikuni tm 34mm carbs on it. Its the one all the way to the left. you can see the side covers sticking out.

For a straight drag bike the cub would probably be better but for an everything bike i would take the worked h2 hybrid..... 150 hp? yeah not too many duners gonna take you at the hill that is for sure! no 4 pokers gonna play around after you spank them a couple of times either.

there was a white one at the Sand Sports Super Show 2 or 3 years ago. I don't remember what i did with those pictures though.

what about an rz500vr4?(not sure if i got that right) in a banshee chassis?

a H2 with a good port job, pipes, and the correct carbs makes over 150 i believe. thats alot cheaper than cub cylinders and all that stuff.

That may be so, and the H2 is definitely making some power, but you won't come anywhere near its potential on a fabbed stock chassis. You'll need to make a fully stretched chassis to take advantage of that 150hp.

The engine alone may be cheaper, but you still have to get 3 of everything, opposed to 2, which will make the cub a lot more appealing and cheaper in the long run, and in theory, a better bang for your buck.

Just my .02

i dont about the motors. cubs cost over 2 grand for a good set up. figure $300 for pistons and stuff for the H2, carbs $450, pipes probably cost about $500 maybe depending on who makes them. i know he'll make his own pipes and port it himself. your probably right about the chassis idk. i guess we'll see if he ever builds it. hes got a lot of work lined up for now. i dont think he'll be doing this anytime soon. we were just talking about it the other day though.
