Swaie
I was planning on getting some porting done. I seen on someones sig the company name flowtek. Does anybody know anything about them. It seemed like their prices were pretty good. I would like to get the mx port for good low end grunt but i don't want to lose any topend. Is there a good port for more power in everypart of the powerband or do you only get low, mid, or high?

Since Flotek is big on E2S, but not on HQ...you will get different answers.... Even Denny said (Flotek) talk to several builders and see how they treat you, IF they call you back, when they call you back, pricing, etc. Go from there.... RagunCajun
Dennis(flotek) ported my banshee's juggs and lightened my flywheel. I got a mild aggressive play port. It runs VERY strong and the powerband is very broad. It's exactly how i wanted it. Everytime i see a porting thread i try to throw flotek's name out there. He had awesome turn around time and great after the sale help. My bike does have more low end but i am still running pump gas. That's what my supporting mods are set up for. I about shit my pants the first time i felt the powerband. It was a night and day difference for sure. However, i can not comment on any other builder's work because no one around here has a ported banshee besides myself. Just do some research as the above said. 06BaNsHeE
Is he an actual like shop that builds lots of motors?Or just something on the side for fun here and there?
dajogejr
Is he an actual like shop that builds lots of motors?Or just something on the side for fun here and there? My understanding is he is a machinist by day/trade, and porting and other bike work is secondary and his fun/hobby on the side. He's not on HQ as much anymore, used to be back a while ago. He's a moderator on E2S and has done a lot of work for some very happy members on E2S. I've talked to him on the phone a few times and we've done business. Great guy... But as I've said over there...and here. Make the calls... You wouldn't walk into one car dealer, sit in one car, and buy it without trying out and comparing other options....your builder should be no different.
