01BANSHEE20 Posted March 27, 2013 Report Share Posted March 27, 2013 its not fuel related. if it backfires you most likely have an ignition issue. and yes those holes are normal there called boost ports i believe. check your timing and flywheel key. check reeds for cracks also. check the choke tube on the carbs for cracks. Smokie the two stroke Posted April 27, 2013 Report Share Posted April 27, 2013 I just rebuilt my buddies 98 still on stock pistons and bore it was doing the same thing and it was simply wore out check compression and what color are your plugs white, black, cardboard brown? Looks like two different jugs to me like one has been ported and those two boost ports are not stock someone put those in that jug the very top one is stock but the two at the bottom are not.
