98flyguy
im sorry to say this, but i have been buying parts for a project and storing them. anyhow i ran out of time and money on the project and i sold it all to a very good buyer up in alaska. he paid dearly for the shipping of this stuff. so when he starts puttin the parts on that all came from here he finds a bent carrier housing, bent chrome steering stem, and i recieved an lsr bearing carrier on here that was supposed to be new and it had siezed up bearings. now im stuck here with parts ive sold unknowingly damaged to somebody in alaska. this is seriously messed up. i feel i have been ripped off by many a dishonest some beotch on this page. just as a reminder i am the guy that lost 1500 to a guy in michigan (i think his user name was bogart)on an rz350 engine for this bike i was building. so this is a reminder ... BUYERS BEWARE!!! that you cant believe everything people say. now im one of them ppl oh yea the best buyer ever is ssjgoku419. thanks Russ for everything and ill get the rest of the parts when they get out of the polish shop. NYUK
now the parts have changed hands 2 times. you didn t notice the stem was bent? or stuck your fingers in the carrier to see if the bearings were bad?both easily visable from just a simple inspection.never contacted the people who sold you the parts to see if they would square up? i sell thousands of parts a year, and i think you are going about this the wrong way.there are far more trustworthy people on here than not. LiftdT4R
I agree, didnt you check the parts when you got them? It may have been accidental, and I'm sure at least some of the people would have worked with you.

NYUK
What a dead on statement.............So True. I guees I will not be buying parts from him......lol yeah but from the sound of his post he is taking care of the guy. i just think he feels victimized and is going about warning people in the wrong way. he doesn t mention names and didn`t say if he tried to contact them about the bad parts.just a blanket statement warning people about noone in particular. That is very true.....I shouldn't poke fun at him. Sorry. It is very respectable how he did refund the buyers money at his own expense. This thread would have been more helpful is he narrowed it down a bit. I am sure that there are plenty of honest sellers on this forum. I have been taken a couple of times on ebay...but still continue to buy.

ssjgoku419
now the parts have changed hands 2 times. you didn t notice the stem was bent? or stuck your fingers in the carrier to see if the bearings were bad?both easily visable from just a simple inspection.never contacted the people who sold you the parts to see if they would square up? i sell thousands of parts a year, and i think you are going about this the wrong way.there are far more trustworthy people on here than not. I am the guy in Alaska who bought both the motor (which by the way is the shiznit) and almost all of the other project parts from flyguy, and let me just say the parts were bent in such away and in such a spot that they were not noticable with the average persons eye doing a good inspection. I did a fairly good once over of the parts when i got them and they looked good, and i have many banshees and many different parts so i am pretty confident in what to look for. Only when i tried to install them did i notice anything wrong. I dont know anything about the parts before flyguy had them (they could have been damaged shipping them twice) but i dont hold him resposible at all, sh$%* happens, i know he was not tryin to rip anyone off, IN FACT I THINK 98FLYGUY IS THE BEST PERSON I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH ONLINE, EITHER HERE OR ON EBAY. And also I know its USED PARTS and that means you have to expect certain things, and while i was oooing and aawwing over parts that iwant, i want, i want, i still know no matter what they are still used parts. I have not been ripped off for near as much as 98flyguy and im sure he is pissed, we have all felt what he feels. Just wanted to throw my two cents in. LiftdT4R
parts were bent in such away and in such a spot that they were not noticable with the average persons eye doing a good inspection. That's kind of what you should generally expect when buying something used. If it turns out better, great, but it shouldnt be expected. If it is that important that it needs to be perfect, I tend to buy new.
brian
Personally, I feel for 98FLYGUY in this situation. I just "almost" finished a build and had some of the same b.s. buying used parts. I just dont have a bitch with anyone here. IMO, you guys that think anyone should expect damaged parts when buying used are FUCKEN CRAZY !!! I never expect to buy fucked up parts. I dont expect perfect parts, but I do expect that if you are selling me a part it will work for what it was intended for ! If it wont work for the application I expect that you throw the fucken thing in the garbage and dont saddle me with your shit ! If there is a problem with the part you should at least let the buyers know before the sale and they can decide if they want to deal with it. I would not sell the junk I have been saddled with. It is wrong to put your problems off on others. Because of a few Assholes, I will probably not buy many used parts in the future. Sooner or later, no one will buy used parts if ALL OF US do not speak out against that kind of shit. That includes not promoting the idea that you should expect a fucking when buying used parts. LiftdT4R
Ohh, nobody is saying you should accept damaged parts. It just seems like this dude made no effort to contact the people that sent him the damaged parts to make things right, he also names no names. Shit, if someone sends me a carrier with some fucked up bearings and doesnt tell me, and won't make it right, I'm posting their name and address up here, and I might even make a trip. Instead he just makes a post like this that he is "dissapointed" with the forum.
