toyocelgt95
well i was gonna just rebuild the top end till i got the head off and found that the bottom of the piston was shattered off. cant seem to find any of the peices and i dont think they made there way out the exhoust . so... im guessing my best bet would be is to go pick up a manual and start tearing the engine apart. anyone have any opinions or suggestion? im guessing this is best to make sure there nothing down there to screw me in the long run. samc
thats what i would do man, or take the bottom end to a shop and get them to rebuild the bottom end for you, if the piston broke and the piece is in the bottom end, then you most likely destroyed the crank. get some pics i bet most of the guys on this site can tell you whats up. 2strokespirit
For sure split the cases and clean everything out. Check your crank bearings carefully for any debris.

samc
i know a guy (barry) on sport atv central that might be able to help you, hes in PA and does good work. sign up for www.sportatvcentral.com and shoot him a PM he will do your bottom end for cheap. go with a Hotrods crank. i believe you can order a complete (top and bottom engine repair kit) from www.motosport.com Edited November 18, 2007 by samc
