wacko2000
Im not really sure what the problem is, but i just recently instelled my SS brake lines as well, The two lines connect to the front master cylinder on the handle bars and run straight to the caipers, no splits or interuptions like the stockers..... Hope this helps..
chiwape
Well i wish that helped but the two lines from the front calipers go into the "T" and then break off to the one line to the master cylinder...I thought it should just bolt right up in the existing hole with the same bolt...well I guess I can just zip tie it or use wire to hold it..... Bansh-eman
are you talking about the block? you dont have to use it. you can put both ends of the ss lines on top of each other and use the copper disks between them.
wacko2000
exactly, the t that gets mounted to the frame, is no longer needed, There should have been a special bolt (not sure what its called)included with your brake lines that both brake lines go on and then mount right to the cylinder on the handle bars... Banshee 79
I was trying to install new steel braided brake lines but the bolt that holds the "T" to the frame doesnt fit....has anyone else had this problem or how to mount them???? thanks That's a common problem with the Galfer T-Fitting, the stock Yamaha bolt is to large to go thru the Galfer fitting. There should be two other holes on your frame fitting that is not threaded, mount it to one of those with the correct size bolt and a nut with lock washer on the back of the frame tab. It's a little tough to get the nut on due to the fuel tank being in the way, but you should be able to thread it on there. I had the same problem, hope that helps! ClimbAnyHill
I have one line that leads to the T splitting connetor which then connets two seperate lines. One for each caliper. That's all it takes to work. You don't need to adapt the T splitter to stock location threaded location.
