IROOST1 Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 i just finished my build from the ground up, i fired it up, started first kick but its revving real high. i know the throttles are not stuck open. and the idle screws dont have the slides barely open. it is a fresh build with all new shit. i dont know if its an air leak maybe or the jetting is off. IF MY JETTING IS OFF, WILL IT CAUSE IT TO REV HIGH ON IDLE. the mods are vitos pistons .20, fmf pipes, bottle, spacers, open alum airbox, 28pwks, coolhead 17 domes. 110 full race gas 50:1 dominator. stock timing. WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD JETTING TO START WITH MY 28PWKS? i am at middle clip, 145 pilot, cant remember main(162 i think). Quote
jbooker82 Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 (edited) Is there enough slack in the throttle cable to let the slides come down all the way? Try turning the idle screws out to slow down the idle. The jetting sounds good to me. most people running dual pwk's run 45-48 pilot and 148-165 mains. josh Edited November 5, 2007 by jbooker82 Quote
sled Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 check for vacuum leaks. spray some carb clean around the intakes and base gaskets. see if it revs up. that would mean you have a gasket leaking. Quote
IROOST1 Posted November 6, 2007 Author Report Posted November 6, 2007 there is enough slack, i am going to pull the airbox and see how high i have the slides set. Quote
