jaredvh
I have a bone stock 1994 Banshee and on the weekend I raced my friend's 2003 Raptor that has K&N and is piped. I see all these posts about Banshees being faster than Raptors so I need to find out what to do to beat him. It was a pretty close race so I don't think it would take much. Like I said my Banshee is bone stock so I'm assuming there is a couple simple mods or something that will put me ahead of him.
LiftdT4R
Whoa yeah, on a bone stock shee, I would expect you to lose. Pipes, filter, and jetting are going to be your best bang for the buck. Might want to search around here as this has been covered a lot, but an adjustable timing plate might be a good idea too for a little more low end. nunyabinness
well if it's bone stock then you need to start with a good set of aftermarket pipes (check the for sale section, you can find them cheap).
RIPRuck
Get yourself a set of pipes, adjustable timing plate and make sure your compression is up to par. If it was a pretty close race than those two mods should have you slowly walking by him. If you want to smoke him then do the above and also either a cool head or have yours shaved and some port work. Make sure your filter isnt all shitted up. Animalman294
Yeah, you need to level the playing field and at least get pipes. Believe me once you get that done you won't want to stop............ I flat out stomp my brothers modded Craptor, and it even shocked him so I told him he had better go balance his check book because he is going to be needing it........... MarineNYC
OMG the stock banshee is such a piece of junk. Once I bolted those pipes on it became a totally diff animal. The best mods I can recomend Is a good set of pipes. Like a set of Dmc aliens or a set Of Toomeys. You will seriously be like HOLY SHIT this thing is crazy! Then Get a timing plate. One of the cheapest mods out there but I have to say It has to be one of the best. When I went plus 4 on the timing I swear it was like a totally dif quad.
