sheerider1026
ok guys here goes. just put this thing together.. it is a stock stroke 68mm bore cub motor. i put a trued and welded hot rods crank in it.. 33mm pwk's, vforce reeds, 20cc domes with modquad head, and cpi inframes.. i do basically all kinds of riding including drag and trail riding, i do mre trail riding than anything.. well this things makes a ton of power, but dam its hard to handle in the woods. i did the shift pro kit and the modded shift star so shifting is not that bad under power.. my last setup was a stock unported set of cylinders with a noss head 19cc domes, stock carbs, vforce reeds, toomey t5's and timing at +5.. and that was a fast, snappy little motor.. question? if i go back to that setup with the 33mm carbs will it still be as snappy as with the stock carbs? by the way i am new on here and this is my first post
06BaNsHeE
Why dont you just sell the cub cyls and domes. And buy some stock cyls and 4mm Crank and port the cyls for your type of riding.Alot of peepz around me go MUDDING with their cubs but you can tell their not having fun.I almost did the same mistake. If you have a lil more $$ to spend go with the 7mill crank and get your cases trenched. Also did you get a lockup or Overide? But if you have alot of money go with a cheetah powervalve cylinder and head set-up.And 33pwks will be to big for a stock unported motor.Theyll be fine with a stroker and portjob tho.Or just a portjob
chase@miamiatv.com
get a bad ass port job on stock cylinders , accomodate it with a crankshaft of your $$$ specifications , and hold on... Imo its fun to have the stock cyl's and be competative against SOME cubs. Slap some meth in her.

Yeah right on the over ride...... My bike has 2 tanks of gas through it in the past year , someone shoot me. At this stage i dont even know if you consider it " running on meth " lol , it doesnt run no matter what... sucks living on the beach as far as the atv scene goes. I am moving out to the boon docks so we shall see.

RagunCajun
my port job has a very very strong mid hit and pulls very hard on top for stock juggs. Traction is my only issue sometimes. Oh yeah and lack of driving skill. Damn missing gears during drag races :ermm: Edited October 27, 2007 by RagunCajun

Bansh-eman
Nate is a badass builder but it sounds like your more of a weekend warrior and not into some seriouse drag racing. Give Kevin a call at Herrjugsracing. he will set you up a great trail motor and an awsome price and a killer turn around time! i have sent alot of guy to him and i have only heard great responses. not a single bad thing. you already have a crank so sell your cub, but some fresh stockers and have kevin port them. with the right port job and pipes those 33 pwk will be fine on it. i run 35 pwk's on mine last year with shearers before switching to a cub
