docbones
Any advice form duners with UTV experience, I rode in a 660 Rhino while in Glamis in February. It was too slow for me. Can anyone tell me if the 700 is that much better? And can anyone tell me pros and cons between 700 Rhino vs. RZR Polaris? Any input would be appreciated. Only usage will be on dunes! Thanks, Doc
Jhughes7
If the 660 was to slow dont bother with a 700, its not much faster, Get the RZR the only thing that sucks about them is there made by polaris. But overall a much more kickass ride.
Snopczynski
go to www.utilityoffroad.com and look around in the forums. I used to own a Rhino 660, it was built with custom skat trak paddles, I personally would buy the Rhino 700 if I get another UTV. The Rhino 700 is not out yet, so no one is gonna know how better or worse they are than the 660. From what I read there are over 32 improvements to the Rhino 700, so I think it would be my choice. Jhughes7
While I agree with you that no one knows how much faster the 700 is gonna be, its like 26 more CC and EFI, Dont know how big of difference that will make. We have 2 built long travel rhinos in our group, and they get half hilled by stock rzr's. If its speed and performance your looking for I think the rzr cant be touched. But for overall quality and reliability go yamaha! Right now I am in the process of selling my banshee's to buy a long travel RZR so maybe I am abit biased. Snopczynski
Well this guy is a good friend of mine. He won the worcs series. Only thing he has ever been beaten by in a drag race is a long travel RZR. However, he was pretty adimit about the fact that he still won the worcs series in a rhino and its all mx. Snopczynski
He is down at boxcar on the big weekends. Its amazing watching him drive down the whoop road at 45mph. Lonestar sponsors him now, so lots of free stuff.
Yamahammer
i JUST BOUGHT A RHINO A 660 DID NOT WANT TO WAIT FOR THE 700 OR DEAL WITH THE EFI.. I LOOKED AT THE RANGER RHINO RZR AND THE TERYX. WENT WITH THE RUHINO DUE TO VERSATILITY 4 SEAT RZR 2 SEAT ONLY CAN NOT BE CONVERTED TO 4 SEAT.(sorry for the caps.) I hear the rzr tip eazy but are fast. the teryx seems like it is going to be the hot ticket but once again i did not want to wait. When you aer looking or riding a sidexside take one thing into account it is not or will never be a quad or as fast as one or even close to a rail. BUt you cant put a rail in the back of a truck and a rail has no warranty sidexside does all these and more. I look at it as a cruiser and a fun machine sometimes going fast is fun thats why i have a banshee. the rhyino is for the wifey kid in the back and to go out and have fun in .. thats my .
Yamahammer
P.S. yes they are more of a money pit than a shee so be careful i have 4 grand in it and have not touched the tires or suspension yet. if you can wait get the teryx

Thanks, Doc Last year I got my 28' Fleetwood class A RV (10,200lbs empty) stuck in the sand at Glames. This dude rolls up in his Ranger and asks if I'd like a pull. I laughed...but he had a tow strap and offered up a cold beer so I was all for it. I had been digging... I was AMAZED to watch this dinky little 4-wheel drive easily pull me out. I watched him yank out 4 or 5 other people that day. Left me scratching my head feeling like I had just witnessed someone breaking a law of physics... :ermm:

Michael Jackson
the only side by side ive ever driven or ridden in is a 660 rhino, and i have to say i am always very impressed with it they ride so smooth over ruff terrain, bone stock, they eat eeverything up, and can climb some nasty rutted rooted hills with ease, they are awesome machines, and move pretty good despite their lack of power, get them out in the open of course they are slow, but on the trails where they belong they go pretty dam good, they are awesome machines
