Not telling you what to do but i know of several racers that dont even run them...I run them but have seen some that didnt. The only thing you would have to consider is IF the alum. plugs came out of the left side case by the sprocket and the rods slid out. Highly unlikely. You know jeff, I had one do just that!! Trans locked hard. Guess if I was going to leave out the E clips, I would want some insurance on those soft plugs. IE, mechanical retainers or something.
