hollisatp
OK! Who has used it and what have your results been?? I just did my wife Discovery II and am about to do my Ranger. Hers smoked so much when we drove down the road, people were honking cause the back looked like it was on fire from all the smoke!! Got a can in the tank to clean the injectors. I would highly recomend it!! Anyone else used it before?
RZBansheeMan
It's really good stuff, I think it really works wonders on cleanin' out carbon. I've had really good luck with using it on both carb'd and fuel injected engines... It does make them smoke alot, but I try not running them in any traffic when I do, just to keep myslf from looking like "Uncle Buck" out in public.... :geek:
hollisatp
I never heard about it before but I just put it into my truck about 2 minutes ago so we will see. I have 71000 on it. I am doing it in the dark cause I live in Santa Monica and them neighbors dont like my kind! lol I was going to use it in the oil but I think a engine flush is better. Or so I have heard.. I'm at 42k on mine and have been putting in Lucas Oils injector cleaner / Fuel Addative after every oil change or 2.

[/quote If you add the 44K before you starting gumming up the injectors badly it will clean them extremely well. It will also clean the valves, pistons, ring grooves, and cat in one tank of gas. The 44K is the only professional grade add to the tank additive to my knowledge...most of the off the shelf cleaners are all hype....Jim
bigboybanshee
BG products are really good, that's all my friend recommends, and he works at the GM dealer...good stuff, I've used their transmission conditioner and injector cleaner with great results.
13bturbofc
it works wonders on rotary engines
gipperz
Seafoam works great, in the 8 years I've sold auto parts, I bet I sold more of that then anything else. Garages that bought our parts used it with good results and also the chevron with techron was another one that worked. Jim is right, alot of the additives on the market don't work. It's always good to get feedback from garages, sure helps limit inventory.
Dinner
Do any of you have any knowledge with it in Diesels? I believe it says on the can it can be used in Diesels..but I'm a little iffy to try it. I run 2 stroke oil in my truck right now, so maybe I could run this stuff and see what it does. Not sure if the Sea Foam can be used in diesels...but BG has killer diesel cleaners and additives..not trying to push BG, but no joke, BG is the real deal...Jim
okbeast
Haven't tried the BG but I haven't been let-down with the Seafoam yet, seems to do a decent job.
camatv
bg's products work great the sea foam is ok to use in diesels when i change the ole fuel filters on fords i fill them up wth sea foam. then they start easier.. if the vehicle you ran the cleaner through ran good with it but then went right back to the prolems its got some major isues that "majic" ceaner wont fix. probably stuck injector or a fuel leak iternal to the intake also the good ole plugs, andfilters can cause these isus as well. there is NO "tune up" in a can ... colby72olds
I've seafoamed my T/A and my buddies Z71, it works awesome!
jcbanshee
My friend used it on the " D " And it smokes like a beast. You have to suck it through a vacume line on the engine (usually off the brake booster) After the seafoam is put through the engine it is supposed to clean all the carbon and debris in the engine to make it run and idle smoother...
