2bzy2p
wow this is ridiculous! we must take a stand even if you dont live and visit the park,,if they shut one park down they slowly start shuting them all down..lets take away anything family and fun orientated and just work our whole lives..I wonder if that would satisfy the government
wesw
i agree on standing up for the riding area but if you could get lead poisoning from being out there. hmm dont know about that.
2bzy2p
that is true i did read the article,,but i think they should have alot more proof before anything is done. better and extensive soil testing, digging and testing.I am sure they can find something wrong with everywhere we ride,,dunes next. kaotik1
That is dumb. I have been to St Joe a few times and had a blast, think it's just a control issue on the governments part. More research should be done before anything happens.
jet mech
I think you should be able to ride any where, these people are straight up assholes! they always were and always will be. They say our vote in elections can make this country what we want it to be but if you really think about it our vote doesn't seem to be worth a shit. There are people with land here and the jerks in the area won't even let them build a damn track on there own land. I am very proud to live in the U.S. but shit like this just pisses me off there are so many other huge issues to deal with but lets screw the people that like to go out and have good clean fun. I work as an aircraft mechanic and the company that i work for produces more chemical waste than any qaud park will ever produce so hell yeah fight these jerks to the death cause you give an inch they willl take a mile Edited October 17, 2007 by jet mech
STLBILL
UPDATE It has nothing to do with the lead! Need proof? Do you see anyone concerned about the cyclists or equestrians getting lead poisoning from their use of the area? No. They just want to get rid of the ATV riders. Why? There are groups like the Sierra Club who seek to characterize all ATV riders as a bunch of careless Hell-raising fools. For the last 30 years on almost any Saturday you can find parents spending quality time with their children riding ATVs at the park. That totally wrecks their agenda. Here are some more relevant links on how we can help this cause: A more local newspaper's version of these events is below. http://www.dailyjournalonline.com/articles...3b330914259.txt Official effort by locals and ATV riders to save the park... http://www.savestjoestatepark.com/ Opinion and commentary from the Midwest Trail Riders Association... http://ridemtra.com/Newsletters/MTRANewsle...URGENTStJoe.htm
