Reed spacer dyno run

What kind of dyno did you run on, same as a car dyno or was it like a motorcycle dyno? I've been thinking about doing mine but wasn't sure on what kind of dyno to run on. I was also wondering why the bike wouldn't just spin on the roller? Looks like it wouldn't be enough weight for the roller load. Anybody dynoed their's in NC?

This was on a chassis dyno specifically used for quad and motorcycles. You put slicks on the back and strap the bike down to it. I haven't had my engine out yet to go on the crank dyno.

There is only one place to put reed spacers, and thats between the reed cage and the cylinder intake port.

Yes it was a stock cdi.

Thanks for the Dyno runs. Can you do a stock timing run next to a +4 degree run? I'd be interested to see that one!!

I don't have an adjustable advance timing plate...people keep telling me how much I'm missing....maybe the only thing I'm missing a Hpower loss!! :whistling:

Thanks man,

Great info...and it makes perfect sense on the timing run as well.

More timing will net you more power lower to mid-RPMs...but even two degrees didn't make the peak HP of the lesser setting.

That's a pretty nice torque curve too, Snop. I'm hoping to get mine on a dyno in the next month or so...

It will be a totally different graph....:)

Nothing, nothing...nothing, HOLY SHIT....nothing...nothing....

im impressed with how much it smoothed out going up 2 degrees. i would like to see some charts from +0 to +8 or so in 2 degree increments to see where the power falls off as you go higher.
