dajogejr
As some of you may know, I just got a pair of Lectrons for my bike. I purchased a new throttle cable direct from Dennis Packard, arrived in two days (Monday USPS was closed for the holiday) and this cable is a piece of art. You can completely dissasemble it, rebuild it or replace parts, and it has a TON of adjustments on it..... I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again for something like this...you pay for quality...this is it!!!
Bansh-eman
dose he make cables for pwks and other carbs or only lectrons?
dajogejr
Good question...could always call him...not sure. If he does...and IF I go back to my PWKs, I'd order another one when I had the extra cheddar...for sure.

dajogejr
ONly started the bike twice on them. First time, cables weren't long enough, shut it down after 2 or 3 seconds of idling at 4 or 5 K. Cut my stock cable, idles fine, started on 2nd kick... I did some reading, and I shortened up my needles (richer) and will put the correct throttle cable on tonight... I know it's close, I know it'll start...I'll make adjustments as needed Saturday AM at the track. Two different guys told me the EXACT same thing on how to adjust them, work on the needle setting first, how it should be, how it should rev, clean out, etc., then work on the power jet. I've got it at 5 turns, I might open it all the way. I have a feeling even as cold as it is...I'm going to have more than enough fuel with my pump, large bowls and dual feed Clippard PJs...I've been told they flow more than the Dave Moore superjets I'm used to. And...the Lectrons carburete (sp?) MUCH cleaner than PWKs or Mikunis... We shall see....
