fishwater
I just picked up a used pair of Fatty's, I have searched & searched but the recommendations are all over the place. So I know I will need to jet & do plug chops but I am wondering what range of jets I should buy to start with. My bike is completely stock, I will remove the snorkel but plan on keeping the lid, too much mud in New England! I am also keeping Tors until it gives me problems. I plan on riding in temps from 10 degrees to 100. Basically I need a starting point for summer & winter at sea level. So I am looking for a good range of jets to buy for winter & summer, lets break it down to winter range of jets & summer range if possible. Thanks. dekker
If you are leaving the lid on somewhere around 260 is a good starting point.
elwilliams13
I can't say much for winter, But with me in Florida I run a 280 main with the lid on and rad valves with your same pipe no other mods. 260 to 280 in summer. I used a fatter pilot a 27.5 and it helps with getting on the needles smoother it was not very responsive with the stock pilots.

sredish
270 to 300 would be safe. and you might have to adjust the needle a clip position as the weather changes but you never know. fishwater
OK, so where should I get jets? I don't really want a kit b/c it looks like two sets of jets, I think I will need & feel better if I had the 270-300's.
