Trinity will get you just about any size of piston you want...

cases aren't "trenched" for bigger bores, they're machined....

Cases are trenched for cranks with a longer stroke than 4 mil...so the lower rod doesn't scrape.

You can get cubs with the nikasil, which I'd have to say is hands down the favorite, or unplated to accept a sleeve.

Once you go bigger than 68 or 70...you do have to machine the cases for a bigger bore.

I don't know of anyone running a 70mm piston, but I know the super cubs are 72mm, and the cases have to be machined to accept the bigger bore...

With sleeves, anything is possible...:)

It wasn't a cub but my stock cylinders had BB sleeves and I could bore them to 70mm

ok ,called and asked..... 69mm lightened piston, it is a cub cyln. it only takes a trinity head( not centered up )..... local guy said there's only about 10 out right now. you have to get threw trinity. port timing and everything else the same.

yes a builder can bore the cubs to a 69 mm bore, when i send my cyls to lynn at lc performance he asked if i wanted to go a bit bigger[69 bore]i said no cuz the only place that would have that size piston was going to be trinity.i also for some reason think that 68 bore would be more reliable than a 69.also i think a set of 69 mm pistons are like 220 or oround that price range. :banghead: :yucky:

Yea but a 7mm would be a 443.Then a 10 would be 465.Maybe he stuck a sleeve in it
