Lethaface
Yeah i agree.. The transfers on a set of stock cylinders are already small enough.. Adding the big bore sleeves just make them worst.. Besides paying for the kit remember those sleeves have to be pressed in.. My buddy ended up having about $700 in his set before porting.. Also the pistons are getting harder to get.. ProX isn't making them anymore so you have to buy a different type that is about $300 a kit.. We were lucky to find a builder who had a set on a shelf.. Like bad said, I would just get a set of stock cylinders and have them ported.. For 700-1000 to get them set up, you could have a stock stroke cub motor.. 91banshee
the vito 404 big bore kit is the only kit i know of that you pay more money for less power , your 30over right now ? then you have room to go to get boredout, i ran some 100 over bores and they did good , buy they were done when they were done. your cheapest way out is get them bored and a new rebuld kit and you should be in the 270 dollar range and you will be riding again , un less your crank went . 05Special
I'd like to go big bore for a little more power but on the other hand I don't want to spend a fortune either...Any of you guys know of anyone who could bore it for me with a quick turnaround time? last time my buddy popped my motor and I just had the guy that did it match of some pro lites.. Ran nice afterwards to say the least, but it wasn't cheap...any recomendations on a quick bore and some new pistons would be awesome...I already have the stock cylinders ported pretty aggresively and would kind of hate to throw that away if it possible... LiftdT4R
Jeff from F.A.S.T sells pistons cheap and also you can find them for a good price on ebay Yup, Jeff did my bore and pistons, easy guy to deal with, and very reasonable prices, I know he's busy as hell though. Also, I've heard mixed reviews on the Vito's 404 kit, some people that I have talked to that have run them love the kit, others not so much. PM Meat on here, I beleieve he runs the 404 big bore. Good luck,
