hyperlite33
I would personally get the Kenda Gnarley in the 20" size even though I have had great luck with my 20" ITP Holeshot tires. For Duning tire (all around play tire) I would suggest the ITP sand stars. They hook up well and a great non-dragging tire.

phxrider
Holeshots for Desert ridding Haulers for the Dunes. You can get around the Dunes in knobbies, but you're going to be spinning the wheels a lot. But they won't be good in the really soft spots. hyperlite33
thnx man i think i might go for some hole shots, but will they do gd in sand or no, btw nice ride  sa3ood Thanks for the comp. As for knobbies in sand, it is a night and day difference with paddles on. If your going to ride sand a lot, it is definetly worth it! Check out RMATV Knarly if your on a budget for knobbies as they are cheap. I used to have the 18" knarlys and they had unreal traction but wore quick because of the MX compound. The 20" and 22" are a hard compound...I would trade my holeshots in a second for them! SoCalinIt
I think he's looking for an all around tire... Not two types... If that's the case... I'd go Kenda... I think they would hook up better in the sand. IMO
swrbansheeboy
ive always wanted to try these but all i ride is sand so haulers are my poison... http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDet...odFamilyId=6048
BellicoseBanshee
I am surprised to hear that the Maxxis 4-snow do not work well...I have in the past used Pro-Wedge II in the sand, and they were awesome and very light, too. I ran them in the snow as well, but when I was in the sand I would install them to run the opposite direction so the blades would scoop like a sand paddle (the tires had an arrow to provide correct direction for mounting; the blades do not scoop for snow use). I do not remember my PWIIs being very heavy... If you are wanting a sand tire only, I would recommend Skat-Trak Haulers or Skat-trak Edge, 21X11X8- 8 paddles. I use both and like both of them. I do prefer the Haulers and do not seem to notice a big difference in turning most of the time. The Edge do seem to turn and slide a little easier. Both are very light as well. Those tires pictured above (Desert Storm) look mean.

phxrider
His signature says "20X10X10 8-paddle Haulers"..... Yup! 20 x 10 x 10 with 10 x 8" Douglas Blue labels. They look nice and hook up just right, especially on the steep dunes. I didn't like the sand skates when I would ride with other, cause if you got someone in front of you slowing down on a side of a steep dune, your ass starts to slide downward.
