ClimbAnyHill
K&N Clamp ons, I use them on dirt & sand no probs.. I clean them after every ride.. Jay, keep in mind we oil the filters to debris may stick to them should anything pass thru the outerwears. Don't oil them too much or will seap into the outwear, cloggs it up & you'll have a boggy ride!

Bansh-eman
id just stick with what you got and not run oil on them... if you find a set of outers for cheap grab them up and toss them on... all they are going to do is help to pre filter the tiny shit before it gets to the oil and gets caught... Run oil on the uni outers...dry they will let a LOT of dust, sand and small stones through and make more of a mess on the K&Ns than if you didn't oil...I tried a uni dry once...and regretted it! The outerwares are worth it...they keep the filters MUCH cleaner than without...

Like when I joined the Navy to see the world....and got stationed 14 miles from home!! Should have them by Thursday. for the input, everyone!! Jay From SanD. With outerwears & all is good?? I know about the clogging but I've never had a prob when properly oiled. Isn't the oil supposed to serve the purpose of holding the the dust/sand etc? lonestar
(Fall winter) = Uni pod twin foam with outerware. No oil on outerware. (Spring summer)= K&N with outerware no oil on outerware. This is what I do. I've done this for years. It works just like jetting your bike between seasons
