your pipes and jetting can throw your band off if they dont match the rest of your motor work. thats why you will hear time and time your killing that motor with those pipes... or your starving that they with those carbs... your intake, porting and exhaust all need to be working together to get max power out of the motor, or else your only going to gain as much as the one thats the most restrictive...

Its not just you. Trust me. I want more power all the time. LOL

Please dont take this the wrong way as being a asshole or anything but,

you may need to adjust your riding style. Especially if your not totally

used to your banshee. You need to "keep on the pipes" so to say.

So the powerband is right there, when you need it.

Does that make sense?

You are probably used to a 4 stroke where the power is always 'there' per say. You need to ride higher in the rpms to stay in the powerband. i ride around just below it and when i want to go i just downshift and hammer on it, viola power! other wise diring spirited riding you will have to figure out where your up shift and down shift points are in each gear to keep it under power.

I have a few friends that hate 2 strokes simply because they actually have to ride the bike and 'do work' where as riding a 4 stroke to me fool proof. dont get me wrong my cousins yfz450 is fast but it doent give me the power thrill my banshee does.

if your used to riding a 4 stroke then your having to re-learn pretty much... with a 2 stroke if you want to stay in the power band you got to learn to work the clutch... its all about keeping your rpms up there so if you have to pull the clutch to rev her up then thats what you have to do to stay on the pipe aka remain in the power band
