MarineNYC
Ok guys I was having trouble with my shee so I decided to take the flywheel cover off. Everything looked normal in there except for a little corrosion ( very little) and some yellow dust. It looked almost like yellow sawdust. Wanted to know if this was normal. locogato11283
its probably rust. ive seen flywheels rust all to hell. you can pull it off and take a wire wheel to it and clean it right up.

TOYBOX
hmmm not sure. can you get a picture?? There is a yellow conduit-type cover over the one wire in there. Check the stator bolts and for any play on the flywheel.

MarineNYC
I was having problems with my timing and I thought I should check it. I heard horror stories about timing plates and lack of locktite. When I opened the cover I found all of that powder. Scared me.
